The class provides basic fundamental skills how to measure the correct method of the window panel, calculate the fabric length you actually need and a basic sewing terms glossary together with links to other soft furnishing related subjects. 

The participant will learn how to operate and thread the lockstitch machine and sewing techniques for fabric.  The drafting involved technical methods in pattern development of various kinds of basic curtains category includes lined and unlined traditional drapes with heading tapes together with more modern styles.

This is an ideal skill for Individual Learners who are interested and wants to make products such as cushion, pillow, curtain, etc.

With helpful guidance, and how to trade this comprehensive course is for beginners who want to learn and produce basic soft furnishings. The step-by-step approach means that at the end of the course you will be confident you can choose and prepare a cloth, provide the pipes and stitches together to produce high-quality products. Learners will learn how to measure and cut cloth and pipe and how to unify the products together. Learners will learn how to zip and unite them in a professional way to create beautiful products.

This class is designed to empower learners with the ability to skillfully sew basic outfits and quickly advance to the next level of sewing with ease. Learners will learn how to operate their sewing machines and how to use the attachments that comes with their machines. Learners will also acquire basic sewing techniques that will be with them for a lifetime.

This is a semi-private class offers a small classroom environment with comprehensive 1to1 learning (maximum 3-4 persons per session), and will be teaching include demonstration, guidance and more hands-on practice sewing.

  • 2nd session           02.30 pm to 05.30 pm (Tuesday to Saturday)

  1. The period is 36 hours (3 hours X 12 lessons) 
  2. This course must be completed within 3 months, for example: If candidates start their course on 10 January 2015 and it will expire on 09 April 2015

  3. No sewing skills are required
