WORKSHOP - BASIC SEWING COURSES

These workshops’ classes will teach the skills needed for dressmaking and will be taught the beginners/ refreshers the basic skills needed to sew.   In 7 hours 1 lesson of each class, learners will undertake a project using learners’ new skills with the guidance of our expert trainers.

This class is designed to empower Learners with the ability to skillfully sew basic outfits and quickly advance to the next level of sewing with ease. Learners will learn how to operate their sewing machines and how to use the attachments that come with their machines. Learners will also acquire basic sewing techniques that will be with them for a lifetime

SEW BASIC KIMONO BLOUSE

This lesson is within 7 hours of this workshop. Kimono Blouse is a versatile outfit that every woman likes to wear as an outfit. This is a short course that Learners can learn how to plan their own basic kimono with simple but glamorous basic robes that Learners can style. Learners will learn how to create a basic pattern with cap sleeves, then how to mock the fabric and how to handle a sewing machine. The trainer will show how to apply and fold the front neckline to join the back bodice without using interfacing. The sewing technique guide through step by step for Learners to follow and sew with this fabulous new piece for their wardrobe that looks great and beautiful.

SEW BASIC PALAZZO PANT

In this class, Learners will be able to understand the appropriate how to take a basic measurement to create your own palazzo pants that will teach and to share knowledge on how to create a basic pattern, cut the fabric and sewing method step by step.   Learners will be taught how to attach an elastic band at the waist in appropriate sewing techniques to apply for some stitches. And, this bagging or flared pants with wide flare legs is known as Palazzo pants or trouser (Palazzo of Italian, literally: the castle). This pant trend came in 1970 and is now a regular in fashion anywhere.

Want to start stitches for baju kurung suits for special occasions, celebrations or other occasions. This is an opportunity for Learners to learn and understand the basic traditional outfits that look beautiful and elegant when wearing this dress comfortably. This workshop class is 2 lessons conducted within 6 hours, Learners will learn how to draw and cut a straight pattern on the fabric.  Learners will be taught how to draw yourself a maxi skirt design on paper based on their own size, layouts & cuts. This lesson includes how to sew the invisible zipper and apply buckram for a waistband. Sewing techniques will be taught and guided through sewing lessons so that Learners can complete the whole process of baju kurung and sarong (skirt).
